Collecting customer details for contact tracing.

COVID-19 is affecting industries and sectors across the globe with governments placing restrictions on social gatherings and meeting in public places.

Covid19 restaurant

The spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) has understandably escalated concerns when it comes to how businesses manage visitors. The virus has made it crucial for workplaces and restaurants to limit unnecessary person-to-person contact and potential transmission incidents.

We’ve heard from many of our customers looking to alter the way they check-in, track, and collect information in order to protect visitors and employees from potential exposure to coronavirus.

SplashAccess has created new Covid 19 solutions that can be deployed quickly to help manage and keep staff, students and customers secure.

A tried and tested solution

As plans are being put in place for customers worldwide to be asked to register in advance or check in as they arrive at pubs and restaurants to aid the reopening of the hospitality sector. Splash Access has worked hard in developing a guest registration system for contact tracing per government guidelines.

A tried and tested solution that has been used by KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Carl’s Jr to comply with government regulations.

The register is to include the date and time of a guest’s entry, as well as their full name, address, phone, and email address. Once the guest has registered a unique code is sent via SMS with a time stamp and validation period to show to staff.

Supporting Business

During the recent Covid-19 pandemic, designated venues in certain sectors must have a system in place to request and record contact details of their customers, visitors and staff per government guidelines.

As a result of this public emergency it is critical that organisations take a range of measures to keep everyone safe.

Venues in hospitality, tourism and leisure industry, close contact services and local authority facilities must:

  • ask at least one member of every party of customers or visitors (up to 6 people) to provide their name and contact details
  • keep these records of customers, visitors and staff for 21 days.

Splash Access provides a quick and easy portal to enable users to register their details as required,  which provides data within a unique SMS which is shown to venue staff.
